Details of the internship opportunity:


Unpaid internship College Credit: will work with your college to fulfill college credit if available Location: Embrace Church; 260 E. Elm Street, Oxnard, CA Multiple volunteer / Intern positions available:

• Tutor-Coach (teachers)

•Tutor-Coach Assistants
• Curriculum Curator, Editor, Writer- assist us in developing our materials
• Business Development assistant- assist us in developing the structure and workings our program Days/ times of Tutor-Coach Schedule: Flexible to accommodate your student/work schedule

• Monday – Friday 9am – 3:30pm (this spring 2023 semester just Monday & Thursday)

• Half day (3-4hrs)
• Full day (6.5 hrs)
• Multiple half days
• Multiple full days Able to work within your college’s internship/coop program. Age / grade of Students:
• Program is for Pre-K through 12th grade
• Currently the bulk of our students are age 4-13 (PreK & elementary, 2 Junior high)
• Currently there are a few older high school tutored students (who need a tutor-coach) Experience Needed
• Desire to work with children
• Ability to connect with children and communicate with adults
• Teaching experience helpful, not necessary
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions • Ability to try new things, step into a little bit of unknown, but with a plan
