The Revive Team

Pastor Samuel Gallucci is the visionary for Revive Academies. For the past 19 years, Sam and his wife, Toni, have devoted their lives to being the hands and feet of Christ.

He serves as the senior pastor at Embrace! Church in Oxnard, and also is the founder and CEO of The Kingdom Center, which provides emergency shelter and transitional living assistance for at-risk women and children. 

 

In addition to serving, he also is an author of three books: Road Warrior, More than Animals, and A Love that Nobody Wants. These books cover various topics such as protecting one’s faith, integrity, and relationships while they travel for work, addressing the homelessness crisis, and sharing the stories of Embrace! Church’s endeavors to care for the unhoused population and the founding of The Kingdom Center.

 

Sam is well versed in business, having been the Executive Vice President and General Manager of PeopleSoft CRM before his time as a minister, and uses both his knowledge of business and his desire to serve the Lord in his newest endeavor, Revive Academies. He hopes you will join him on this journey to see children and families empowered by this new model of education.

Sofia is our head tutor at Revive Academies. Her journey with our organization started with a prayer that God would show her a place to connect with after having felt overwhelmed at the beginning of her homeschooling journey with her own children. A few weeks later, God led her to Revive, where she got connected, not just as a mom, but as a tutor. 

 

One thing Sofia loves about the program is the coupling of academic teaching with instruction about the Word of God. It’s been an honor in her life to be able to teach at Revive and help students and their families flourish. Additionally, as a Revive mother herself, she appreciates the growth she’s seen in herself as a woman, a mom, a follower of Christ, and a tutor as a result of being plugged into the Revive Academies community.

Sofia graduated from Ventura College with an Associate’s Degree in Science and she has a background in Child Development. She also is trained in Classical Conversations tutoring methods, and uses My Father’s World curriculum to instruct the children that God has entrusted into our care at Revive.
