Our schoolhouse
Revive Academies functions in the one-room schoolhouse model. This model allows for a multi-age learning environment with collaboration and support as students work together on a daily basis and older students mentor their younger peers. This model of education also allows for a more adaptable and flexible education with personalized attention and tailored instruction, as teachers can cater to each student’s individual needs.
Currently, our campus caters to kindergarten through third grade. As we grow, we will have the capacity to educate students in kindergarten all the way to 12th grade.
Our tutors
Our tutors have been trained in and utilize Classical Conversations tutoring methods. This program is a homeschooling program that’s Christ-centered, and the mission of our tutoring is to know God and make Him known. This program teaches tutors to not only instruct students, but also to be there for Revive parents and demonstrate how they can utilize these methods at home, should they have that desire.
Our curriculum
We are a student-led program. We guide children through their independent work, which includes reading, writing, and math, and we all come together to learn science, history, and art. We use My Father’s World Curriculum, which helps us to see the world and learn about these subjects as they relate to our amazing Creator. We also love to explore student’s interests, and we encourage them to raise questions or suggest topics for us to explore. In addition to traditional subjects, we also study God’s Word and lead children through a devotional and time of worship each morning.
